Derek Brand from Hertfordshire, has emailed me with a camper for sale. It's a Spacevan, been off the road for 4 years, after it ran out of oil and did the big ends. Plenty of rot, may only be good for spares. Offers over £250

Yes just spoke to him, the poor old girls sounds in a bad way and is from the sound of it only fit for spares. He says he has an awning and complete interior, and its fitted with an overdrive gearbox so this could be the ideal spare van for somone.

Well I have just taken delivery of her - not as bad as you might think, just a little green! My plan was just to rob the o/d, but I am already attached.......

Sadly, on closer inspection she doesnt look quite so good - it looks like the entire front would come off with a good tug. Its rotten all round the gutters and peak. Oddly looks solid underneath!?

My first plan of using just for the overdrive and scrapping the rest was probably a realistic one. Interestingly it looks like a Car Camper conversion like my PA, so there is loads of other bits I could use (for one the louvred windows are the same) and the back doors are in pretty good shape - plus the overdrive badge is too cool not to put on mine!

I will take some more pics of the worst rot and people can cast an opinion. I quite like the idea of keeping the PA in original condition as she is too good to change and keep this "rat look" and put a rediculous engine in. But i think there is just too much work and is beyond my skills.

I will probably never need the louvred windows other than for spare pains for mine so I might be open to an offer. If there is anything else people might want from it drop me a message.

I have earmarked the front seats, o/d (with everything I need to fit to mine) and rear doors. Other than that everything is going spare. Its a '78 spacevan BTW.
 
Really!? I might put it on ebay "dodge spacevan for sales, your are bidding for a hubcap"..... really annoys me when they do that!

Seriously though, the dodge ones look different to my commer ones and they are 14" wheels rather than the 15" on mine - not sure if that makes a difference.

It has an awning as well that I can't imagine I'd use as i have just bought one - think it is a canvas one, looks pretty big judging by the bag.
 
Doesn't have a middle seat sadly otherwise that would be going in mine with the other two. I currently has a bench seat and it is a right pain checking the oil!

If someone has a brown middle seat I would be interested too!

Any chance you can pop one off and see if it fits on your van? I would assume that they would still fit but worth checking i suppose;-)

I fancied a set of louvres and was about to purchase a set of Admin - unfortunately they are too small to fit in the holes made for the Autosleeper windows[V]

Oooh, you just beat me to it Panky. We tried as well but they were the wrong size. Can't remember if they were from Admin or maybe Commerjules.

Anyhoo, just measured and our windows are:

Drivers Side - 193ish cm/ 76 inches in length
Passenger Side - 237ish / 93 inches in length

This is from the outer frame edge to outer edge of the frame :)

And are both 17.5 inches in width.

Hatchm/Woolfy - do they match with any of yours :p
