camper for sale

i dont know im all a bit confused now i didnt realize that there would be so much interest
i must say it sounds nice to donate it to martin and his hire company cos then i could rent it out for a week now and then but it would also be nice if there was someone out there who hasnt got one and would lovingly restore it and get enjoyment out of it
i cant keep him tho or in 20 yrs time there will just be a small pile of rust where he stood
hes called dougal by the way cos if he had hair he would look like dougal from the magic roundabout
 
Well, I am still interested in the van if you want to contact me.

It would certainly help me out to get hold of it as I am really low on funds as I have hardly worked since the new year because there is no work about here [}:)]

How can you part with Dougal after all these years I believe the bank opens early mon morning [}:)]
have you had a look round the restorations in readers rides [?]

Danny.......The van hasn't started for ten years right? Have you tried? Fresh petrol and a new battery can work wonders you know;-) Every stitch of help in available here freely at any point you need it.

I had a carb problem, and within ten mins of putting it on here my van was running 20 mins later..Seriously, Tim, Panky, The two Martin's, Colin, Rupert, Jules, etc etc etc, the list goes on mate. All these guys are the absolute bees knees in this area. You are in perfect hands believe me;-) Every single part you may need is readily available normally too. And any parts or panels that need making are all here too. Keep the bloody van as you may regret it. Just imagine, you could be driving in it and getting sloshed in the back with friends as opposed to sitting on your drive in a makeshift den.

Do yoursen a favour, and when you get a min go out with a sponge and give it a wash first as it's a bit greener than it should be HAHAHA! Once you have done that, take some new pics ( Inside too ) post them up here and then see what the techies think. Any bad points panel wise, highlight them;-) I bet once it's cleanes and hoovered out it won't look as bad as you think? Do you know it's faults at all?

you have me thinking thats for sure
when i took it off the road the altinator had packed in and the water pipes from the radiator leaked a bit. i used to start it up every couple of weeks till what sounded like the starter motor sticking happened so it never turned over and that was that. the steering was loose as a very loose thing which was fun [:0] a few years ago i lost the keys. that was about it apart from the rust

Well it doesn't sound too bad to me matey. Get it washed and get some more piccies up if you can;-) Those problems you mentioned are just trivial!

So does mine and loads of others too, it's easy just a squirt of additive when you fill up:D I got my van about 18 months ago and didn't know anything really, my water pump sprung a leak and my wife changed it!![:0] All with the wonderfull help and advise on here! Look at me now! I've just swapped my gearbox for an overdrive and put in a new clutch and upgraded the exhaust. I'm having problems with adjusting my gear linkage, I don't know how to do it, I have just taken a photo and posted it, someone will point me in the right direction soon....remember this forum is for the commervanFAN! keep it mate and come to the commerfest as a FAN and you will have the best time ever:D:D


 
But be warned..........Colin will try and force feed you Square's crisps.......Say no though cos they most certainly will be out of date AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Not really, they were great after a skin full;-)

aye i think ill give it a spring clean good scrub down have a good check over it and take some pics and see what happens
