Cab seat / bed mounts??? How???

Has anybody got a similar seat to mine? I bought it off eBay and it was previously fitted in a commer but I haven't worked out the position of the t bars over the arches.
It also doesn't seem to let the engine bay lid come up for access to the radiator when the seat back is on.

Any help or photos appreciated.

If you want any specific photos I can take them later... Quite a simple system if you want to copy

That looks like a bench seat from a Wanderer, which should be able to lift forward for access to the engine and slide forward and flatten to make a bed. Perhaps one of the Wanderer owners on here can help with the technical side.

Sounds like our bench seat arrangement. Clara is a Wanderer. We've just got back from Vintage Nostalgia Show. Once we've finished unloading I'll take some pictures. It's quite simple really but you do need to take the back off to get to the engine. A pain but not difficult. Remove the back, push seat forward and lift passenger section up. You can then open the engine cover and rest the frame on it. Like I said, I'll take some pictures later.

Sorry for the delay. Was dark by the time we'd finished. Hope these pictures give you an idea of where the frames fit.

The two sides of the frame join together with a couple of lugs on the passenger part that slot into the corresponding points on the driver side

To get access to the engine all I do is remove the backrest, separate the passenger side from the driver side and slide it forward. Then drop the passenger side backrest bracket, lift frame and open engine cover. You can then rest the frame on the open engine cover.

Your picture shows another bracket on the front (behind your legs when you're driving). Ours are missing but they are only needed for tilting single seats forward. We use the seat as an extension of the rear bed and sleep length ways. Gives us a massive king sized bed.
Don't know which part of the country you're in but if you're not far from Newbury, you're welcome to come and have a look.
Actually, if you are far from Newbury, you're still welcome to come and have a look.
