I'm working on tidying up the rats nest of wires and bits hanging down from under the dash; anyone have photos to share of a restored cab?

Also looking for clear photos of the glove box and dimensions if available.

Cant help with the wiring, Harvey's looks like an explosion in a wool winding factory:rolleyes: But I'll try and get some pics tomorrow - if I'm not too busy having fun in the Mini;)
 
I have just finished rewiring the van. I was surprised at how many live wires that were just dangling and how many I was able to delete without it having any impact that I could see.

I guess I'll find out soon enough if that was a mistake!
 
It's probably no help but whilst I was sorting mine out I added an extra lucas four fuse box to jimmy as his loom only contained two fuses.

Does anyone know what that thing in the middle of the dash is that has three connectors to it is? Looks like an old circuit breaker that I have on old harleys.
 
Yeah, I'll try and give the dash a reach around. oooh err.

I need to get the fuel gauge and water temp gauge working this weekend so I'll see how hard it looks.

I got the tacho wired in but not sure it's accurate. It just hovers around the 2100rpm mark at 50mph which seems kind of low compared to the wailing from the engine.
 
Is it attached to the bracket, just underneath, about a third of the way along the dash - does it look like a relay with three wires coming from it? If so it could be the voltage stabiliser, which strangely enough feeds the temp and fuel gauges.
The tacho could be an adjustable type for four, six or eight cylinders. If it's set to eight then it will be reading half what it should be and knowing your engine history it will be set for a dirty big V8;)
