thats right and who were the three goal scorers. martin peters. geoff hurst. and bobby moore. who all incidently played for good old west ham united at the time.
Woolfy, I don't think Bobby Moore scored although as the captain he was important, I think England's scorers in the final were Martin Peters (really classy player) and Geoff Hurst with the famous hat trick.
But then I'm a Scotsman, what would I know?
^^^ That's right, although wasn't Peters' goal later proven to be 'not' a goal?
Sunday telly's going to be good, Grand Prix followed by England Germany footie followed by new series of Top Gear! Guess who's working a 12-8 shift on Sunday?
Peggy drinks too much!
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?
1/ we were disheartened by the goal that should of been...
2/ we played like shat anyway...WAKE UP ENGLAND!!! why do we have some of the best players in the world but they all have such big EGO'S they just can't play together???
Hazard a guess at how much money is on that pitch in terms of each players wealth..........Millions upon millions and yet they still play like a sunday league team................! Which only goes to prove that they are over paid, spoilt useless rubbish that cannot for whatever reason play football with eachother??? The German's deserved the win as they played really well and made us look amature. I read an interesting article the other day where the reporter was saying that he thought that England 'Were' playing to their best ability, it's just that the other teams in the tournament have raised their game and we haven't...! Was a longer story than that but he had a point.
