I've been saying that for years. The last time we truely had any potential was back in the days of Lineker, Gazza, Psycho et all. Unfortunately, the problem stems from the fact that in this country, football is a game. A very highly paid game where a modicum of talent can make you rich, but a game nonetheless. Other countries take it more seriously and are trained from a young age that it is a job, a career, something that if you're good at it, puts food on the table.
