Burnie- Dodge CI Motorhome

Hello Huw. Sorry I missed you when you found Burnie.(btw, he's named from the fact that we bought him in Burnham on sea) I was in France at the time.I'm surprised at the amount of damp you've found, as we thought he was remarkably dry for his age. Mind you, we didn't dig as deeply as you're doing! As for provenance,we bought him from a man who'd used him as a service barge for his banger racing. He'd not had him long, and he only did two miles up the road every month, so his mileage was minimal. the way the van drives, I thought that his 37,000 miles could have been genuine, and my MOT man was of the same opinion. The banger racer told me that he'd bought Burnie from his original owner, after her husband died. I did not check into this.
En route home when we bought him, the coil burnt out in Avonmouth, and he came home on a transporter. In our tenancy, the longest trip he did was to St.Fagans to visit my daughter, and the only time we slept in him was four miles from home in a pub car park.Owing to our caravan committments, we did not have the time to either use him or give him the attention he deserves.I'm truly glad he's gone to a good home.Btw, when he was MOT'd, all he needed were two brake pipes on the front. I really liked the old guy,and wish you well with him.
Emmerson & Anne(who cried when she heard that you'd bought him!)
