Andrew has just done his with Rustoleum and Scott (Comm-Don) did his a while ago. Check this link out, if you google rustoleum you'll get loads of info and some very good results with a roller:)

Hi Alan like panky says I've just painted mine using rustoleum combi Color . The paint was applied with a roller and brush technique, I finished the paint with some fine downward strokes. I used a fine bristled brush, you want to use the finest possible. I prepared the fan in the normal way. Using different gradients of sandpaper. The paint has about a two and a half minute working time, after that don't be tempted to go back and work it. The combi Color paint went on really well, making sure I mixed it with the right amount of white spirits. I mixed it using about a 10-15% white spirits. I am going to be posting some pictures on here eventually. Regarding colours the rustoleum website has all the different colours on there, so you should be able to find a colour that suits. You will need about three days of good weather, not to hot when you paint your van, I left mine for around two weeks before I applied the second coat. When using a roller for the initial application, saturate the roller gently so you don't get to many air bubbles in it, trying to work out any lines you might get. Practice on something old before you start on you van. You will get some runs so keep an eye out for them. If you have anymore questions please ask me. Good Luck.

There's a great additive you can use called Owatrol paint conditioner and rust inhibitor, you can use it neat to prime and also thin paint by upto 50%,
I'm a painter and decorator and use it regularly in all my oil based paint.
It helps the paint flow better and settle flatter, and with the added bonus of helping against the problem of rust! :)

The owatrol paint sounds really good, it might be worth applying after a coat of aquasteel.
