I shall most likely be there but not in Lulu as she's not quite ready to see the big bad world just yet, so I'll be in the rover.[8D]

Both Clarabel and Poppyvanfan have arrived safely- Matt said it's 'wild'which means its alot worse than when Martin had to rush off to buy a fleece and a hat! This show is not for the feint hearted -the wind can rip your doors off and the mud can be two feet deep! I might nip across later if the weather clears for the odd hour - I'm now on 'Lambing Live watch'- we have five ewes and four lambs so far hopefully the other 2 ewes will produce twins which will be good for the rural economy!
Hope Pandy went well - I'm about to check the photos.

Just back from the Bronte gathering - Not quite vintage! of the 100's of small classic vehicles registered there is only a 1972 VW camper, a mini van, and Clarabel left in the display area- Poppyvanfan is safely tucked in under the trees in the bottom field with another racy car - they couldn't move through the mud. Most of the commercial/ tow trucks are stuck! I have just seen a tractor towing a defender towing a car towing a caravan - unbelievable!!( Clarabel had to be towed into the display field!) Tomorrow will be an interesting day if the sun doesn't shine and the warm wind does not blow. Pictures of the mud should follow when (if) Matt returns tomorrow.
This is all a great pity as it takes the organising commitee a year to sort and the gathering usually makes £1000's for the local hospice.
Roll on Summer-(which might be a better time to gather!) Mike -Clarabel and Co

It must be bad. I remember last year was very wet and cold but at least we all managed to get around - just:I

Worse than bad-can't imagine worse- a road sweeper is constantly going up and down outside -if it rains again tomorrow morning I think they will have to stop cars driving in or close the show-I just managed to get out of the car park with my Freelander with new M&S tyres. Before I left Matt and I were talking about getting matching tow plates fitted underneath so we could fit a triangular sling for future events.I think Clarabel will only leave tomorrow towed by a tractor-my 4x4 won't even pull itself out of the mud which surrounds all the stranded vans-I only just managed to walk away in my boots! Hope the weather is better next year -would be good to gather again with the old faithfulls!! Mike

Gathering cancelled- I hope they get out ok- will take a few lorryloads of chppings and some very big tractors- A pity the sun has just come out!

Bummer[V] Just tell Matt to be careful where he attaches the tow rope

Thanks for posting the message, I would have got a bit of a shock if I had turned up and there was nothing there, It's a shame though because I always enjoy the show.[:0]

Thanks for messages- Clarabel is now back home safe- pulled out ok from high up. No news of Poppyvanfan yet. Fingers crossed. Mike

I've just transferred some muddy ones onto my computer - Matt should be able to load them into his photobucket this pm. They are busy with Football and Sheep at the moment!
ps Did you make any of those tow plates for chasis mounting underneath? Mike
