I had them kicking about the garage they are for a Triumph Herald/Vitesse/Spitfire/GT6.
I made this short length of pipe in order to utilise the securing bracket on the back plate, the flexy pipe dose not have enough thread to go through it and seal the copper pipe on the other side. Because they are of a herald they are plenty long enough on full lock.
Might be a mot fail,depends which garage is testing it,but be carefull as the copper pipe has nothing supporting it at the flex end and could fracture at the union

this is the one I used on the front, you can see that it is a little longer.
This is the one rear Commer pipe against the the rear from the Herald set. It comes in a little short. Don't know if this will work as my axle isn't in my van at the minute.

I agree its somewnat less than ideal.
I can make a pair of Aeroquip hoses (which do improve the brake effort & feel) to exactly the right length (which means no additional copper section) if anyone is interested
I would also agree there no ideal, but I have them and can make it work so will use them lol
Times are getting hard and it's saved me £30 because thats what it would cost to have a pair made. Now just have to save a bit more then I can afford a clutch kit
