Brandy

Ive posted these photos in the Mechanical section but i thought they should go here as well.
Its been on the backburner for years but the rocket is now up my date so hopefully should be driving in a few months.
Just dont hold me to that.
Brad

Thanks

Will be supa cool - hopefully keeping the body as is ans sealing it?

The setup on the back - what link is that then? never seen it before - do you have those two across and just one stopping the twisting motion from the top left of the diff? very interesting.

Im just going to use Ankor wax and leave the outside. Inside and underneath will all be painted and sealed.
The Watts link is better than a panhard rod but dont get used much in production cars because of the extra parts required. Most race cars with a live axle use a watts link because the roll centre can be easily moved.
I used it because the rails are narrow and a panhard rod would be very short meaning the diff would move sideways quite a bit through its travel range.

Since 2008 Its been an on and off game. Hopefully driving in the next 12 months.
New son and house renovations slow things down alot

Thanks
Ive got the engine and gearbox mounted now and im starting to clean up all the interior and chassis for paint.
Ill have to have the inlet manifold modified to fit a passanger seat but considering its all fitting quite well.
I think ill have the only commer with a gearbox and tailshaft hump but sacrifices must be made.
The fronts are Humber Super snipe with Vectra or Astra discs, cannot remember and Holden Commodore (Vauxhall VXR) calipers.
