Thanks for the link to the Servo Panky, much appreciated, looks like my thoughts on mounting it alongside the master cylinder have occured to Iceman as well.

As mentioned by Panky, here's the link to details of my implementation of his patented exhaust design but with no welding required (the reducer I had made up in mild steel for £10 by a local custom exhaust specialist).

Other than a bit of final fettling all very straightforward stuff, even the hangers lined up nicely with the old mounting points !
Definately don't get the bits from a 'Fast Fit' type place but from an exhaust wholesaler, my prices were roughly in line with those quoted by Panky. Others haven't been so lucky even from the same supplier as me, so my advise to get their best price turn up at their trade counter with some cash and do a deal there and then, as over the phone they might quote a higher 'list' price (still bound to be cheaper than 'Fast Fit' as it's these guys they use for their own supplies).
After experiencing a scary braking incident this summer, we're seriously interested in adding a servo ourselves this winter when rebuilding our breakes - so will be watching your progress here with interest

Does anyone know of a source for the inlet manifold take-off adaptors? Mine has a grub srew in it, which I presume I remove and screw the adaptor into?
One of my MG friends has come up trumps and given me a servo from an MGB midget, brand new and looks identical to the ones shown in the pictures posted so far, just doesn't have the manifold adaptor.

I could be completely wrong here (I often am) but something tells me that the thread for these is BSP, possibly 1/2" BSP? If I'm right (I'm frequently not) you should therefore be able to get suitable fittings froma plumbers merchant.
