Brake system problem

Hi all-havent been on the forum for ages but been busy moving house and losta bit of motivation for the van but now we have got room for him then its time to get him ready for summer.

Went to move Percy after beeing stood up since the end of September and after starting fine after a boost I realised he has no brakes as pedal went straight to the floor.Inspecting the filler reservoir found it empty.

Now we obviously have a leak and I havent had a chance to inspect all the whell cyclinders on pipework yet.

What im confused about is that I refilled the reservoir with fluid (to see how it much it drops till I can have a proper look at it), to find the level dropped about an inch after pumping the pedal but has now stopped with no resistance on the foot pedal.

Is this more likely to be a master cylinder failure or is normal to do this for a leak elsewhere anyway?

Well today ive had a after filling up the reservoir about a month ago.I pumped the pedal and ive got pressure again

I checked round the bottom of the drums and they seem dry

As for the master cylinder there seems to be some fluid around the rubber and spring assembly I presume this is the problem[}:)]

Can you get rebuild kits for these anymore?Ive checked in the boxes of bits and got quite a few spare wheel cylinders and one master cylinder that is slightly different-is there anything of another vehicle I can use?

*Update*

Just went through some boxes and found a brandnew master cylinder kit so hopefully it will be the right one:)

Just checked and its the wrong one-checked part code and its for a triumph stag?

Gutted as the boxes came with the van and I just assumed the kit was for the van-doh[:(!]

Anyone know where I can get new seals?
