Brake master cylinder

Afternoon, I am looking round for a tandem master cylinder, and may have found one with remote resevoirs which would suit the commer. I am just out to measure up....my question is:
From my commer manual, it says that the bore of the standard commer master cylinder is .75 of an inch.
What effect on the braking would going to a 1 inch master cylinder have?

Yup, greater surface area in contact with the fluid so it will need more shove, you could fit a remote servo though

i've often pondered fitting one of these - the problem is that then to have a servo you'd need one off something like an E-Type or to fit 2 of the normal ones - both expensive options.

You could just have a servo working on one of the circuits (the front) but not sure if this a good idea - anyone done it?

I've just been checking my manual and there is a tandem master cylinder fitted to some models, but left hand drive vehicles only:I There may be some out there somewhere.
