Yes Panky a Snap-on gas mig
No, it's not mine it's on long term lone! only thing is it looks almost new and it's a bit of a worry, what if I break it somehow? I'm not sure if i'd rather buy my own, at least if I break my own its not so bad lol

i use a pub cylinder on my mig and it costs a tenner to change, so don,t buy the silly little toytown bottles [:0]

hello folks, happily have managed to catch up reading through your wonderful progress - smashing stuff. I found the thought of welding Bessie a bit daunting at first but it had to be done and am finding I'm getting better as I go along (when chances arise to get at it) Bluebell seems to have a lot of the same troubles as Bessie did and reckon you'll do a cracking job. Personal choice would be to go for flat panels meself where visibilty not a problem - fluting was only there because coachwork bunged on a standard Commer body - if the coachbuilders were starting from scratch am sure they would go for flats too - why build in future problems[?] but of course is your van so you must go for what you'd be happy with.
Sadly have lost our local supplier of pub gas[V] - well worth tracking down if you can find it, as have a feeling you may well have a reasonable amount of welding to do
All the very best of luck with progress - it will look worse before it looks better but will be well worth while [^]

Thanks Kes!!! Just the thought of the finished, and lovely Bluebell keeps us on our toes... Colin has really been enjoying himself, getting our there and tickering lol!! He cannot wait to get his hands on some metal to start practising his welding with lol.

Hiya
NO progress to report (hangs head in shame)
A friend of a friend lent us a nearly new 'snap on' mig, but to be honest I was reluctant to use it, imagine if I was to break it! and had to replace it!!
However I have acquired a 2nd hand mig of my own (with a pub size bottle) The mig is huge, it was owned by a welding factory and I'm told it will go and go all day without over heating as smaller units do?
It was spose to be delivered today, but I missed a call and was then too late, so will have it by next weekend.
Our washing machine flooded our utility room and hall way 2 weeks ago[V]
we had to have 3 huge dryingfans and dehumidifier going 24 hrs a day for 12 days!! Anyway the whole lot has to be redecorated, new flooring , replastered etc which inspired us to get decorating lol
Since friday morning we have done the whole of the lounge, kitchen, hallway, stairs, and uptairs hall way!!!
Next weekend I have to help a mate put up 2 sheds and then.......hopefully have a play with the mig!

Actually, I must confess that Cazz and her Mum did most of the lounge while I was at work Friday!
A q Panky[?] What gauge metal sheets do I need to buy[?]
I need to buy 3 out riggers, the 2 rear ones behind the wheel arches and passenger side front one (just behind the cab) and about 3 8 x 4 sheets of flat to make up inner & outer sills & flooring!
Have broken the project up into stages, so the rear end first!
will have to do both the out riggers & floor (very similar to the pics of van-woolf) then will just work forward from there. In fact I am just going to pretend the front half of van the does not exist for now
