Bluebell & no.3......

Hi Guys...

just to let you all know that Bluebell has now been sold and went on her merry way today. She will be restored and will return to the road one day.

No,3 has also been sold complete and I believe will be restored in some form or another.

Thanks for the response I have had and apologies to anyone who is dissapointed. I did point out that I would prefer them to be sold to someone who would restore them rather than breaking them up :D:D


 
Oh alright then. I bought Bluebell and had a rather fraught journey home with her. Because the lower panels have been removed every time I went over a bump in the road, and there are plenty at the moment, the coachbuilt body flexed and moved! By the time I nursed it home, a distance of 130 miles, the rear end of the coacbuilt has collapsed inwards causing untold damage to the body and framework. Luckily I had loaded it on to my transporter rear end first, if I had`nt I think the rear door and panels would have collapsed onto the road or any vehicle that was following me, the consequences of which scarcely bear thinking about. So now I have a coachbuilt that is probably beyond worthwhile repair although the cab and floorpan will be saved. I shall have a proper look tomorrow and go from there. Hey ho the joys of old vans eh
 
thats a bit of a bummer after collecting it all that way:( hope it looks better in the morning for you;)

Its not the end of the world and it could have been a disaster! Worst ways she will provide a goodly amount of parts but likely as not she will still be restored in one form or another. :D:D
 
i know this may be a shot in the dark but bobby on here had a motor home the other week which he was breaking, i wonder if you could make use of the back box bit, if he sill has it ,give me a call and i will give you his number if your interested.;)

infact if you scroll down to the next page there is a picture of the van in question, it comes under breaking four commer vans by milk and two.;)

Not the end of the world though. I reckon i can fix it without too much drama having had a good look at it. Need to brush up on my carpentry skills though as theres an awful lot of rotten timber to replace. I cant see me touching this til the autumn at the earliest cos its going to be a long job and theres a couple of others waiting to restore that need less doing to them.
