Blue Peter Commers

I'm about to show my age here, :I but does anyone remember a Blue Peter appeal from the late 60s or early 70s when the milk bottle tops, or whatever it was that year bought some Commer minibuses? Better still, has anyone got any photos?

Got one somewhere but no idea of exact whereabots, you should see my archives! They were CI autohome/motorhomes with blue cabs and the Blue Peter shield on the cab doors, think from memory they were sent off to Africa? I'll try to seek out picture, but no promises.

I started with nothing.....and I still have most of it!

Crikey, I think that may be another lot. Those that I remember were like the old post buses with a raised central roof section and wrap around rear windows. They did have Blue Peter shields on the doors. As for colour I have no idea as the telly was black and white!

From this website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/classic/bluepeter/valpetejohn/trivia.shtml

"1969 - old model cars and brass for an old peoples' bus"

It's the only mention of an appeal for a bus.
