Just supposing that such a thing could ever happen to me...:I what would be the effects of connecting up the battery the wrong way round...[:0]:I ?
(Only for a couple of seconds)



I just need a good rootes...
 
Everything would run backwards and the headlights would turn into black holes[:0]
Worst case...alternator and instruments fried if you turned the ignition on. Best case nothing - I did it last week and everything seems fine - but I didn't switch on:I

Did it on my Imp a year or two ago. didn't realise until I saw smoke coming from the alternator. New alternator was all that was needed.

All seems good. Didnt switch on and it was only a brief connection so hope i got away with it. Checked the voltage with the engine revving and looks good. Phew dont need the hassle of a new alternator!

I just need a good rootes...
