What a bummer, you'll miss a great meet.
We went with Bernie and Heidi on a reconnaissance trip to check out the site and drive the rout through the lights - any excuse for a weekends camping[8D] The site is perfect for us, plenty of space, toilets, showers available, great pub and the people that run the place are fantastic (Heidi negotioated special rates for the meet[^])
Here's just a few pics of our stay
Campsite, not a great pic but shows the on site toilets next to a couple of touring caravans. We have got the whole field to ourselves for the Commer weekend

We had a realy nice couple of days mooching about and enjoying the weather, it turned out lovely on Saturday after torrentioal down pours on the way up but the campsite was dry with not a puddle in site.

So they say
As promised Heidi, Barbs, John & I did a recognisance visit to The campsite and drove the route that we will take through the lights on Saturday night.
We had a long chat with Dave the site owner & Kim the site manager, they are looking forward to welcoming our Commers & friends.
We are going to use a large field which has plenty of electric hook-ups a fresh water tap and of course a toilet block.
Also there is a shower block on site which we can use but have to pay a £2.00 deposit for a key this is refundable when the key is returned.
There is a club which we are welcome to visit but smart dress code is enforced.
Dave has also given us a discount rate for the weekend from £15.00 per night to £10.00, plus £5.00 per night for electric hook-up if anybody stays for 3 nights or
more you will get a further discount.
Dogs and children are more than welcome.
The illumination run is planned for Saturday night it’s roughly a 30 mile round trip and will take approximately 3 hours. We are setting off around 8pm and planning to deck our Commers will loads of lights. (So don’t forget to add pound shop lights to your shopping list)[8D]
We will post directions, maps and other info nearer the time.

Although we have come to terms with our new tent [}] I am at a wedding of this weekend and the Austin isn't ready yet for a journey so we can't make it. I know we had only shared an interest but best to let you know.
Fingers crossed for a Coventry meet as we've not been to one this year, or one since the sale of Fonty!
