Babs reminds me of a Venezuelan girlfriend I used to have. Attention seeking, unreliable though very pretty and nice to look at. In the end, as much as you like them - they have to go.

Sounds like your having a major love /hate relationship like we did with Fonty. Fingers crossed you get to Blackpool and the love is restored. I can see your frustration, all that work and money for 1000 miles of motoring. Hang in there with her for a bit longer :)

Well, I can confirm that I am not coming this weekend.

I have just been reminded by my mother of a prior engagement with a pro photographer for a family portrait on Sunday and my life won't be worth living if I don't turn up. As I can't risk missing it by having a breakdown on the way back I am afraid I am going to have to scrub the weekend very regretfully - and the fairy lights have just turned up! (even they were the wrong ones as I received clear ones instead of the mixed ones I ordered).

Clear ones are more tasteful on a Chrimbo tree Andy anyway! Sorry you're not going mate. Lucky I got the spare tent sorted then!

fair enough about the GF Andy, but don't be hasty about Babs...you are angry and upset with her at the moment but take a break from her and it will all seem better (a trial seperation:D) ...you have done so much work on her and have been under pressure to make her behave the way you want her to...she will come round mate, to your way of thinking soon....:D:D

Unfortunately, I will be selling her at some point. I am moving out to Spain next year, and Bab's really isn't big enough for myself, my partner and her two kids. So, will be looking to move Babs on to someone else (with a lot of patience) and will be keeping an eye out for a LHD coach built (preferably an autohome). I know there aren't too many around, but there must be one somewhere with my name on it.

However, I do have a very nice LHD Super Minx Estate that will be restored this winter.....
 
Believe me, I'll be missing you guys too. What am I going to do with my fairy lights??? :(:(:(

I think I'll decorate Babs anyway, and drive around on Sat evening with the lights on. However, 18 meters is quite a lot of lights.
 
You had better take a photo of Babs with her lights on
and am sure 18M will make her look real pretty ;)

Saturday (wait for it!) Hail Showers 23mph winds max 14 min 13 visability good! - ok for the iluminations then! Sunday -sunny intervals 17 mph winds 16 max 13 min visability very good! Every cloud has a silver lining! Hazels Dad
