Best commer memories.

Hi I have some great times in my commer, my best memory so far is taking my little girl out in her. I feel so proud when I take my commer out. I was just wondering what everyone's else's favourite memories are?

My 5 year old girl also loves our Commer as much as us, It was her home for nearly a quarter of her life. so I guess she will always have fond Commer memories[^]. I am so glad we were able to experience it with her

The first Welsh Commer Weekend in 2011. A great weekend and managed to drive Peggy into a ditch!

I am not a person, I am a number, 395 actually......Be seeing you!
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

Nope, we were being followed by Nancy's RAC man who had helped get her started after she broke down at Big Pit (Peggy, not Nancy!). He pulled us out with his tow-rope.

I love that Ed is growing up with our van. He loves Lucy - at the end of our last holiday we told him we were going home and he said "well we can go home for a minute then go to another campsite!"

I have two strong Commer memories from when we had one back in the eighties. The first was seeing my four year old brother falling through a hole in a jetty at Loch Lubnaig, while I was sitting in the back of the Commer. I've never run so fast in my life.

The other was having the brakes fail completely on the motorway. There was none of this namby pamby calling the AA. No, dad removed the split brake pipe and we walked up the hard shoulder to the nearest town, got a brake pipe made, purchased some brake fluid and the shop gave us a bit of tube and a jar, back we went back, fitted the pipe, bled the brakes and off we went. Mantastic!

When I think of our holidays in the wanderer in the 60s the thing that comes to mind first (apart from the events Chris would kill me for if I put them on here) is being able to pull over when there's a nice view and have lunch or a cuppa there and then. Looking forward to doing that again in Rupert.

Nutwood comes to Yorkshire

I`ve not had mine very long but I have a smile constantly on my face when I`m out in mine ( even when it`s being winched onto the AA trucks).
One memory I will always treasure was last summer`s roadtrip to Devon. Driving passed all the darksider surf buses on Woolacombe surf beach whilst playing the Beach boys on the stereo.... Every single darksider turned around to look as we drove passed and parked right in the middle of them all.:D:p

I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.
3. Stuff I might use..one day.
4. Stuff that might come in handy.
