Best air filter?

Hi I am going to change my engine oil and air filter. Can I pick up a air filter from my local motor factors of do I need a specialist one for my commer? Also how difficult is it to change the filter and oil?

The air filter is dead easy to change, first tip the passenger seat forward and undo the screws holding the engine side cover on. Once that's off the filter housing is right there underneath. Undo the screw in the middle of the filter housing and pull the top off, remove the old filter and put the new one in Not sure if you can get a new filter from your local motor factors, you may have to send for one.
The oil filter on the other hand is the same one used on a Mini so no problem getting one, It's a Champion C102 or equivalent. The oil filter is on the drivers side of the engine so you'll need to take that side engine cover off to get to it. You may get lucky and be able to screw it off by hand but usually they are stuck fast and need a strap wrench to shift them - or if you are feeling brave bash a screw driver through it and use that as a lever. The new one simply screws back on as tight as you can get it by hand. Good luck

Cheers panky, and finally to change my oil, do I undo the bolt next up from the gear box, under the oil chamber, let it drain and put the new oil in?

Yep, the big nut under the engine You will need quite a big container as the engine holds 4.3 litres of oil.
