Here it is!

There is something which looks very wrong about it. I don't think it is because it is stretched, I think it is the front doors: They are not sliders!

It's a 'Pegasus', built by Pegasus Tourers of Lancashire. Has to be ultra rare, never seen another one; but must admit it is an acquired taste.
Lots more about it on pages 39/40 of that excellent book 'Bedford Camper Vans & Motorhomes' by Martin Watts:D

I started with nothing.....and I still have most of it!

I saw this van, or similar, at a rally back in 1996. It was fitted with a 1725 Rootes engine and overdrive box. Very nicely done :)

Bloody Commer`s!

It says in the listing that it's a 1725 so more than likely the same one:)

Why so, do you know otherwise?

Surely, that must be the longest pop-up fabric roof (ok, side hinged then!) in motorhome history.

Weird looking thing. Like a rubberband-stretched Romany with a bit too much lost in the transition.. :I

Not at all, indeed this CA seems to solve the mystery posed in the above mentioned book!

It's the only way they could get as much room as in a Commer;)

One just knew that VW would have a contender or two:)
Not side hinged
