be careful out there...

I popped out for some malteasers last night to our local tescos and got "propositioned" by a chap who wanted to buy my van!

" How much?"
"not for sale"
"but if it was - how much?"
"er dunno..."
"think of a number"
"er dunno..."
"I'll give you my number if you change your mind"
"ok"
"er dunno my number - I see you around all the time - I'll be in touch!"

I'm scared!

Then I turned round and high-tailed it out of there... only to find a J4 camper at the petrol station! Had to pull in for a chat (didn't need fuel) he's a local chap and has been restoring it for a good while but is just recovering from an engine fire [:0]

Can't wait for the next malteasers run!

When we went to the Cambridge meet we got chased down the A1 by a guy in a white van flashing us to pull over, we did after about 5 miles, he jumped out, same thing,
How much for the Commer
Not for sale,
Go on how much
I've only just got it - not for sale
I'll give you my number if you change your mind...

I didn't get any Maltesers though:(

Moley and Brian the Snail :)

by the look on his face he meant bussiness. His wife was "goading" him...

I'm going to have to shop at Morrisons from now on.

And if the van plays up AT ALL... well she had better not play up - thats all I'm saying...[}:)]

Our van is on the driveway having soon work done to it at the moment but that doesn't stop people asking if we want to sell it either and a local taxi driver who had one a while back offered my wife £1500 for it .. surely this shows the growth in popularity in these great vans eh !!

On a slightly different theme we've been asked if we did kebabs and on another occasion after a night parked up in a laybye we where woken up by a lorry driver (4.30 am!) who asked us if we could do a bacon sarnie and a cuppa to go!

Before Harvey was cosseted in the back of the garage he was kept behind wrought iron gates and attracted more dubious attention at the time - from the occupants of passing vans advertising driveway tarmac and soffit replacement [:0]
