Unfortunately there aren't too many options, unless our usual suppliers can beat the price. £60 seems a lot but in the grand scheme of things it will be a small price to pay when this should, hopefully, see you on the road for many years to come - and ready for The Rising Sun:I

Hi all. I've been lurking around but lots of changes down here with my other half being made redundant and my having to take a job that pays 10% less.....grrr.
Anyway, Patience.
Found a local mechanic who has been spot on but slow. So far he's fixed the problem with the overheating and she's running nicely. Still got to sort out the temp guage (been told it'll need hardwireing in) and the fuel guage. She's being moved from my parents drive, as they're fed up with the sight of her, to somewhere nearer my home (and the mechanics home) where he can crack on with that and look at making the steering less wobbly (if that's possible).
We're slowly making curtains, cushion covers etc and still got to get the water tank fitted (but that's fairly easy and can wait for a while)
Once all that's done it'll be off to get hand controls fitted and I finally get to drive her.
She's due an MOT in November so we'll then see what else is needed.
Didn't make any festivals in her this year as nowhere near ready by the time I got her but still planning for next year. After that it'll all depend on jobs and money and if I need to sell her, as for a lot of other people I guess.

Update. Tried to drive her home yesterday but she lost power and would turn over but not start. Another trip completed on a recovery lorry. While she was on the lorry we noticed why the steering may have been a bit poo as passenger side wheel not playing by the rules and pointing a different direction to the others. Been told to get that looked at separately as she's done no more than about 50 miles (mostly on the M1) since her MOT.

Paul, i doubt very much you would have been able to drive it like that? Where did the towman put the hooks around to get it on the flatbed? Reason i ask is because we had the same when we broke down. The towman put the hooks around the drag link and bent it therefore distorting the steering. Yours looks more critical than ours did! Recovery company paid up for the damage which was good.

I don't like the word critical ;-) It's a good question I'll ask my brother as he was helping load it on while I stood safely the other side of the barrier. I know that my Dad when driving it back and my brother yesterday reported having trouble with the steering. I think I need to find somewhere where someone who knows more about these things than me can get her up and have a look.
