Back of the garage

Well it's in:)
Spent the day making gaskets, cleaning and re-fitting the OD. It's bolted up, the linkages are connected and all the gears seem to select OK - just the starter, exhaust and propshaft left to fit and then fill the box with oil. If I get bored one evening next week I'll finish things off:I

[:0][:0] Crikey - it works:)

Went for a test drive and it seemed a little stiff and jumped out of top a couple of times on the overrun but once it warmed up it was fine. I think a little bit of adjustment might be needed on the linkaged but I'll leave it for now and see how it goes.
It seemed odd that there was no orrible whining in 1st 2nd and 3rd[^]
I even remembered to put oil in - thanks for the reminder Tim.

The test run wasn't without its dramas:I
I'd forgotten that I had chucked a couple of beach wind breaks onto the roof rack and when I was on my way back I spotted one of them in the middle of the road[:0] A friendly ice crean man pulled over and stopped in front of it, to prevent it getting squashed by the traffic, until I could retrieve it:)
