HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!

Cracked on early (for me)and took the wheels to the tyre place for new boots. The tyres that are on the rims look fine but are very old so best be safe. None in stock so I'll be picking them up on Monday afternoon, apparently they have taxi valves fitted:I
Spent the rest of a gloriously sunny day rubbing down, skimming with filler, rubbing down, aquasteeling, rubbing down, priming, rubbing down and sweating a lot :).
I can't get to top of the pop top properly in the BOTG so prepping and spraying the roof will have to wait once Harvey is out in the open but next week I think I might be starting the respray:I
Going out for a blast in the Mini tommorow so this weekends work is done.

It' not been out for a couple of months and Harvey has been borrowing the battery - all charged up ow and ready to roll[8D]
Might head into the North Welsh mountains and explore the limits of the grip on those skinny tyres[}:)]

Thanks guys[8D] Sorry I missed your call - we were out terrorising the traffic in the Mini[}:)]

Oh my god it's getting exciting:D
Final prep for the respray today. I got my compressor running after an hours fiddling by-passing the pressure switch and testing the wiring only to find that the overload switch on the motor had popped out:I Did a bit of priming on the back doors and seam sealing under the peak (that stuff is a b****r to get off your hands[xx(]) and generally manoeuvring Harvey and cleaning up a bit to give me some space to start spraying.
I went to Autopaints yesterday to get all the stuff I needed, they initially quoted about £50 for 5 litres of the paint but then came back and said they could only do Triumph damson in the more expensive paint - double the price[:0] Bless them they mixed up a small amount of the dear stuff and then matched it to the original paint they quoted for and came up with the goods. It took them about an hour to do and hopefully they have done a good job - I'll only know when it's dripping off of Harvey:I
Tomorrow will be taken up with the final washdown and masking off, then actually throwing some paint at the poor unfortunate old fella - results will be posted in glorious colour:)
