Finally got the Punto sorted:I
And so to Harvey. This is what was left of the bulkhead frame after numerous attempts to remove parts of it for local repairs - wish I'd spent the time figuring out how it was held in and took it out in one piece[V]
And a new one constructed and fitted in place
and covered with ply
I'm experimenting with wood stains to try and get a decent match - anyone point me in the right direction.
The bench boxes in place for a trial fit
They look a bit grotty but I'm bound to do more damage fitting the furniture so I'll spruce things up once it's all fitted.

I was using what was left of the old vinyl faced chipboard flooring to crawl under the Punto - and it got a bit wet:I It soaked up the water like a sponge and I can imagine it being a big contributing factor to the floor rot we see so often when the covering is removed[xx(] A soggy corrosive poultice.

There aren't any cupboards just the bench seat across the front. There are hinged flaps covering the area over the battery trays and behind the engine lid - trouble is I haven't got the extra little cushions to give you those extra inches - not that I need them:I- me being all slim and all
