We were laughing our socks off earlier.....

We was thinking of booking Smurf into the local garage to have the steering idler bush and nipples greased at same time...

cazz said 'I am not walking into a garage and saying...can you fit my bush and grease my nipples'

HAHAHA (sound like Scott lol) was a very funny moment though lol:D:D

Not all good news[V]
There was a small piece of the old flooring left stuck under the wooden bulkhead - when I took it out there was a small rust scab which turned into a hole when prodded with a screw driver:I Right above the jacking point I repaired ten years ago, hopefully the rest is still intact and it will just be a local repair.

tch, now my reply came after you edited and added pics, how silly do I look[?]........looks ACE mate[8D][8D]

A good plan now would be to spread a bit of light oil around, when the paints well dry of course :I get it in all the seams for future rust prevention ;)

"you were only supposed to blow the bloody SLIDING doors off"

if you don,t do it you know damn well that water and rust will go through that paint no problem at all [xx(]

Another weekend wasted working on Harvey[}:)]

First off sorted out the annoying little hole I found.

Then spread oil mixed with a touch white spirit over all the welds and seams. Recorded the date for future generations to find when the floor needs doing in another 40 years:I

Off to B&Q to purchase the wood for a new floor, Trouble is nowt more than a metre wide will fit through the tailgate of the Focus. So the nice man in a pinny made me a floor kit:)

12mm exterior ply - two 8X4 sheets did the trick.
First make a template - that box of the MIG I got last Christmas has come in hand for alsorts.

Then transfer the pattern onto the wood

The first bit in, scuse the oily boots:I

Swftly followed by the rest after making a blanking plate for the foot operated water pump hole

I even remenbered to cut the hole out for the gas bottle recess

The new lining finnished the job off. This is the table protector I got a couple of weeks ago. looks OK but there are a few wrinkles
