Back of the garage

I'll try[8)]
But then if I had got the thicker stuff I wouldn't have had a go at forming the floor section :)

I went to the metal shop to buy some metal - as you do - I wanted some fairly heavy gauge stuff for the floor repair so I selected a couple of sheets from the stack near the door, I also got a lighter gauge piece and some primer. When Martin came around we were chatting away about trips to France and stuff when he spied my little store of metal sheet - 'how thick is that' he said (I thought he was talking about me :I) and I explained what I was going to use it for. On closer inspection it was revealed that there were two sheets stuck together by the protective oily film - I thought I had bought two but there were four, well I didn't have my specs with me:I

Good luck to you mate[8D]

Nothing done since the weekend I'm afraid[V] and it doesn't look like I have a chance for the next couple of weeks. My daughters car decided it didn't like its coolant any more so spat it out through the water pump - on the M62 at 12:30 this morning [|)] So guess what I'll be doing on Saturday:I

Drinking red wine is one lol....oh, and Commers, and Mini's and cooking BBQ's

We had a lovely BBQ this evening - and a glass of red:p

The rest of the day was mainly spent sorting out Lucy's Punto:I New water pump and changed the cam belt while I was at it. For a 'modern' it is surprisingly easy to work on and parts are cheap - I quite like it:I Luckily it looks like the head gasket is OK but the cam belt adjusting pulley is singing its head off so a bit more work to do there.

Just managed an hour or so on Harvey so tacked in the new floor repair panel I made - but I'm in work early tomorrow so I doubt if I'll be able to do any more this weekend[V]

My name is Scott, not Comm-Don!

I've had withdrawal symptoms not being able to work on Harvey so I had a play for an hour this evening :I I was disapointed that the original overdrive switch didn't work out so I wired it in to the heater fan switch just to see if it worked - but now I'm working on a permanent fix. I found an old wooden gear knob I got from a car boot sale ages ago for about 2p and got to thinking:) Next I found an MGB gear knob OD switch cheap on ebay and fiddled about a bit.

A bit of wood boring and a bit of chiseling to accommodate the switch....

Once its had a coat of varnish I think it will look pretty good[^]
Yes I know reverse is in the wrong place but I don't think I'll forget :I
