I could say yes - but no, they were from the bakery up at our local farm shop:p I'm doing the BBQ breakfast for my local car club at the Cholmondeley Castle classic car show tomorrow and we were at the shop stocking up with bacon and sausages and couldn't resist the bakery:p:p:p

Despite the distractions (shopping and visitors;)) I managed a little bit of time in the garage. Actually the shopping was OK because it meant food and bits to weld into Harvey, I went to a welding suppliers to get a couple of disposable gas cylinders and came away with a refillable one complete with regulator, a stack of cutting discs and a reel of wire at a bargain price - and only £12 for a refill when I need it[8D]

The chassis rails are in pretty good nick so I cleaned them up a bit and sloshed the Aquasteel around where I could get it.

The metal I had wasn't as thick as I had hoped so I got out the old B&D workmate with a couple of pieces of angle iron and spent an hour playing.

Not a perfect fit (and I cut it 4 inches short[V]) but it will be out of sight - and Tim's tank will have a nice wavy floor to look at :)

My name is Scott, not Comm-Don!

excellent progress [^] you made a really nice job of that floor panel :p the tank will be impressed ;)

"you were only supposed to blow the bloody SLIDING doors off"

Thanks chaps - it still needs a bit of fettling before I weld it in but it was quite easy really - mark out one ridge at a time and a few bends in the workmate and hey presto. It took about an hour an then I went and cut it too short[V] Never mind the last bit has only got one corrugation so it will be easy - just one more seam I didn't want :I

I feel a bit dishonest[8)]
I went to the metal shop to buy some metal - as you do - I wanted some fairly heavy gauge stuff for the floor repair so I selected a couple of sheets from the stack near the door, I also got a lighter gauge piece and some primer. When Martin came around we were chatting away about trips to France and stuff when he spied my little store of metal sheet - 'how thick is that' he said (I thought he was talking about me :I) and I explained what I was going to use it for. On closer inspection it was revealed that there were two sheets stuck together by the protective oily film - I thought I had bought two but there were four, well I didn't have my specs with me:I
