exactly mate, this is what can happen when your a novice welder like myself, i just thought i would point it out to make other beginner welders aware thats all. maybe we should have a new category about hazards.haha;):D
 
I was just going through my pic's trying to find one of sybhil's peak couldn't really find a suitable close up,just to show you what Harvey could end up looking like if you get it wrong.
I did find a pic though of her bunk before I took it down,I originally thought it was upside down now I am confused [:eek:)]

very, very useful for us novice welders - not been sniffing the welding (or the smoking underseal from the vicinity) too deeply yet[xx(] but got some up close & personal stuff to finish in cupboards under sink[|)]

Thats a good memory [8D] I don't know if you can see where the peak has been attempted ? bless who ever for trying.I am lucky as it doesn't leak but I do get a lot of muddy water when I use the wipers ? some one has used expanding foam not sure if that is the cause of muddiness?

on the weld fume subject, its not good for you but the main hazard is the sheilding gas build up acting as an asphyxiant, a cople of times i have had to rescue the bloke inside a vessel who has been doing the back purge with argon, it builds up and there is no oxygen left [xx(]
good progress panky, seems to be reasonably undistorted too [8D] probably best done from the outside as well ;)
