ooooooooooohhhhhhhhh panky [^] it looks ok to me ,could do with a bit more out the "corners" of the chambers to unshroud the valves more, and the "peak" radiusing more, and the guides need more streamlining to get the best out of it [8D]. take a look at the drawings chris has posted they should be very useful ;)

"you were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off"

Thanks for that, is that an excerpt from Mr Vizzard?. Aledgedley it's a Minisport Stage 3. Will see how it goes, I might have a go at the standard head I removed and see what results I get [8D].

yes panky mr vizard,s finest [^]. blimey if thats minisports stage 3 i am not over impressed [:0]. do have a go yourself, they are an easy head to get results from as they are so poor to start with, and if you have "the book" you cant go wrong.......unless you go to far and break into the water jacket of course[xx(], got the t-shirt for that one :D.

And here's me thinking I was building a fire breathing beast, oh well better settle for warm and cuddly (bit like me :)) until next time.

"I might have a go at the standard head I removed and see what results I get ." go for it panky [8D]easy enough to swap over later ;)I am so upset I can't see my riley internals cos there is some bling in there :p

Me Dremmell's broke [xx(], I'll have to use a hammer and chisel and polish it up with a Brillo pad [}:)]

Probably engine oil with a faint whiff of bacon sarnie or maybe swarfega mingled with thinners. Or if I was really trying to impress simply my natural musk [^]

'Natural musk'...haha!, unfortunately i bring that odour into my sisters house every evening...but she dont seem to find it so attractive as the name suggests!..haha! [}:)]

After working on an old horsebox all day I'm not surprised you're a bit musky [xx(]

Calling Tim.
I have got a pair of rather beautiful twin 1 1/4" SU's for the Mini. They were my first ever purchase off ebay and were the inspiration for the rebuild. I now realise they maybe they are a bit small for the engine but I would still like to try them and would like some advise on jetting them please, I believe they are currently set up for a 998 Cooper. Engine spec is 1275 A+ Piper 285 cam and stage 3 (allegedly) head. Also wouldn't mind re-jetting the original 1 3/4" carb for a comparison. Your expert advise would be much appreciated.
