Now where was I, oh yes welding done now for some prep and paint
The paint on the lower part of the panel was awful and just kept blocking up the sander[xx(] The best thing I found to remove it was an old wood chisel[:0]
Flutes looking good
Scraping the various layers of Hammerite, stone chip, and top coats off to reveal the original colour.
All that's coming off is off and now to feather the edge in.
Colour going on in my, erm, dust free spray booth:I
Straight off the gun
In my dreams[8)] A day of flatting, T-cutting and polishing later
Lovely and shiny but..........the colour match with the rest of the van isn't very good[V] so I'll be heading back to the paint place on Monday to see what they say.
