Awnings

Nah.. have posted on here somewhere before about the Outdoor Revolution Nomad 3 awning, fits really well and looks great. (Try 'googling' it) Plus it comes in neutral colours and compliments all colour vans.

Will be camping soon so will post some more snaps on here soon.
 
I just bought an outdoor revolution Movelite Square - looks good and pretty reasonable at £160 as it come with an inner tent and free shipping!

Fits a treat, tried it for the first time at the weekend. Sorry about the pic, but its off my phone as I am at work;)

I bought some figure 8 fixing for the gutter and then forgot to take it, but it actually works well without just using the storm straps it comes with. There are also adjustable elastic cord on both sides of the tunnel to get a nice tight fit around the rear.

All in all I'm pretty please with it.

Looks ace mate. Gonna look into getting something similar but our door is at the side. Would it still fit?

Yep, it is designed for both - if you look on the outdoor revolution website they have it on the side of a new transporter. You can either use a figure 8 gutter fixing or just put the yellow straps over the top of your van (might not work with your roof though, you might get one over the cab).

Nice to see Martin Watts old Car Camper being used used! Cracking van you have there, I never thought he would part with it.
I use a 1970`s Raleigh Motor Annexe on my van, fits like a glove and very period, they turn up on Ebay quite a lot and at Car Boot sales!!!quote:

I bought one off ebay for £30 which was a harrison one. Fits the on the side of the van perfectly and looks brilliant being of seventies vintage!

Just bought one of these

It's a Sunncamp utility tent and is a bit smaller than most awnings but is big enough for two to sit in comfort with a table and a couple of cool boxes (or four snugly as we found out at Blackpool). Not designed speifically as an awning but a quick trial fit of Bernie and Heidi's one suggested it could easily be adapted to fit on the rear of an Autosleeper. The rear doors of the van fit nicely into the rear opening flap and the rear edge of the tent fits easily under overhanging Autosleeper roof. A bit of adjustment will be needed to get a good fit around the sides of the van but when we get a chance we'll carry out a few experiments and report back.

Outdoor Revolution on my van, very happy with size/stability & attachment, my only gripe is it's a bit tricky to put up (2-3 man job)
