Awnings

We've got the original canvas 'awning' (or should that be marquee) but have never actually put it up. The guy we bought it off said he had colour coded the poles but admitted he had got the coding wrong. If we ever get a clear, dry, windless day and sufficient Krypton Factor candidates.....

We're going to be in the market for a new awning too...

when I took Megan to get her finger sorted, the awning got blown over in the storm

Cheers razor I wiil do your mod after using the fig of 8s !
I can tell you that the nomad 3 will withstand force 9 gales maybe 10 a times
I sound liking a shipping forecast:)

Was it a bit windy then brazza?

Like i said i did have to neatly screw 3 s/s thumb turns, and cut and fasten the eyes into the Nomad 3 'tunnel' but, it gives good room to open the rear doors and drains the water off without pooling. The only other thing I still need to make up is a piece of waterproof material to fix between the camper bumper area down to the ground... it does get a bit draughty sometimes.[:0]

It is a good awning it took a battering on the Llyn last week and housed our friends for a few days when arriving back from the pub found their tent split into by the the winds
but if you are camping round places with names like HELLS MOUTH! you can only expect the worse!

It was windy and wet on the evenings! never seen so many campers in trouble!
will sort some pics soon :)
