awning waterproofing

[Lulu]

Just got myself an awning for Lulu but I should like to waterproof it. There seems to be quite a few different makes and one of them is a Nikwax for prevention of tears and some that's just for proofing so can I pick the finest brains in the World to see what you use and recommend.[:X][:X]

Always used Nikwax on the trailer tent - never had a leak, even had water pooling on the roof once!
