Dead right, under the skin Harvey has had a lot of engine/gearbox mods to make him what suits me and modern traffic. Nothing that couldn't be easily reversed in the future though:)

Hi Graham, how you doing? .... I've said this before on the forum, but before I got Brian, I went up to Scotland to look at this van when it very first came up for sale before Frazier owned it, it is a solid van very original - when I saw it it still was in all original paint with no rust showing. We took it for a test drive and slow is an understatment, you would only want to potter in this with the auto box, saying that the auto lever is on the dash so if you did convert you'd have to leave it in place just for show, cause it'd be a shame to mess the dash up.

Hello :) I'm doing OK Thanks. Still looking for a commer. I didn't realise you'd looked at it. Looks very tasty.

In fact I've been over to see it today. It's perhaps not as mint as you'd be led to believe on the ad. It is solid and very tidy, but there are a lot of blebs coming through in the ususal places. Roof above the gutter, arches, steps, Front valence has seen better days and a couple of small holes in the cab floor. All very minor for a van of the age, but makes me wonder whether it's worth the premium asking price.

Drove very well. It's certainly sedate, but puts a smile on your face. All in all a nice van, but needs some preventative work I would say

Gone past what I think I can justify. It is a lovely van and will do someone very proud though.

Heart is hovering over the bid button but head is winning this one. More red wine needed I think!!:p

Thing is (and I can only speak personally) when the right van for you comes along you will know and you will want it more than anything in the world.........if you buy a van that you have doubts about you will regret it 6months too late;)

Move over boys, there's a commer girl back in town!!!! Had one which woolfy had to rebuild and I couldn't afford at the time, always sad I had to let her go. Now I have a beauty of a commer, over the moon. Great camper from a nice seller. Couldn't be more happy and worth every penny to me. You are right, when you see the one,,,,, you know it!!!!

You've definitely got a beauty there Zena. I only wish it had come up for sale before I got ripped off, then we could have had a bidding war. Obviously me being a perfect gentleman,as soon as I found I was bidding against a lady I would have withdrawn my bidding.
 
YAY! congratulations, really made up for you:D ....It really doesn't matter what the price tag is, its whether or not you are happy with it.......even if you had paid 10k....so what?? what else can you buy for 10k? ...a rusty VW or a deposit on a 'new' camper with so much boredom for free! ......Well done and a big WHOOP for Girl power:D:D[8D]
