Audio Books

I have just bought a set of Audio Books (Lord Of The Rings) in cassette form. I'm going to put them on to CD, for listening to when I'm driving and I'm going to also make a copy for our local blind home. It made me wonder how many other members might have copies of other audio books stashed away somewhere that they want to get rid of.
If you want to pop them in the post, especially if you have a blind home locally and want a CD copy for them. I have all the equipment for copying cassettes or records to CD.[^][:X]

That is a nice thought Les, I used to have lord of the rings on cassette but I don't think I've got at anymore. I'll have a look.

Thanks John, it's wonderful what thoughts go through your head when you're sat messing about on a computer. I think that the Audio Books for Lord Of The Rings is actually better than the film.[8)]

I knew that somewhere in my collection I have a double LP of Alice in Wonderland, narrated by Dirk Bogarde. The parts are played by

i 'rip' quite a lot off youtube. many of the greats are out of copy-write.

https://librivox.org/ is great for books in the public domain too. you can just download and burn onto cd.

they really do make long journeys fly by.
