Despite the grief we felt at the death of the Hi-Tor. Today we took the Ditch Wytch to collect another Highwayman.
This one is in a much better condition With only one sill, one rear wheel arch,both door skins, and the nose around the vent requiring immediate attention (even the dreaded "don`t look up peak" hasn`t rusted through).
The Highwayman body is in very good condition (except for a scrape on nearside) and to our amazement there were no signs of mice.
The interior looks to be original and in good condition too.
Hopefully she`ll be going for MOT in a couple of weeks.
(maybe sooner if Damo gets his finger out).

Yes i`m afraid all this hanging around with Damo has taken it`s toll
The Commer bug has well and truly sunk it`s teeth into me.
In fact i`ve got it so bad, Damo and i spent last night making a lifting jig for the wytch specialy for Commers. :D :D :D

Took her for MOT yesterday :(:(:(

not even an advisory

one interseting point, when the tester logged on to vosa site to print out pass certificate, because she`d never had a computerised mot before he had to log onto dvla website to get details using chassis no ( which is 3000+ after the one posted on here as the last commer in 1972)
dvla website showed date of manufacture as 1971!!!!

Yet on calling dvla to confirm they deny having this information and insist i have to obtain a dating certificate :(:(:(

Nice! my parents used to have furniture in the same material as the seats, the gold cushions, and a brown version of the curtains[8D] retro 70s or what?????:D:D
