Did 6 hours over the weekend of scraping and jet washing. Not 100% clean but not bad in the worst spots. I'll have another look this weekend but aquasteel and chassis black have arrived so something will get painted!

Great stuff. Remember not to use the Aquasteel straight from the bottle, pour what you need into a plastic container and use it from there - and don't pour what you don't use back into the bottle as any trace of oxide will ruin it after a while.

20150919_135944.jpg Definitely worth a fettle, Nice rack:cool:
Maybe put an extra piece in the middle of the frame to push the feet outwards. How far out is it? you might get away with gently straightening out the bows.
Or maybe fit rubber feet and use boot rack type gutter clamps like this

Spluttered on my first trip of the spring...

* better with clutch out
* better over about 2500rpm
* got a bit better after sat in the sun for a while.

So any thoughts... And any remedies?

Is it old fuel, or fuel filter, or air in pipes, or something more like misfiring piston?

Oh we sounded like a Spitfire in low revs or on hills, but to be fair, many would pay good money for a van that could bounce like that as it forces through the "pain"...

Maybe not much but an achievement for me. Took apart an SU converted manifold inlet today to replace it.

It may only have been two bolts in total but it took me several hours and three or four u turns.

Still to reattach the pesky choke cable that has frayed! Grrr.

Well done that man:D
Sorry I missed your call was out for the evening - GOTG 2 great film:cool:

Managed to finish connecting up manifold inlet, carb and air filter and after buying a new choke cable was able to connect that too...

Maintenance 102 only, but chuffed with my junior level skills.
