Money and time off work allowing (although it looks like there'll be lots of redundancies in my line of work so we might be living in Pootle), we'd love to attend. i just spent 4 days canoeing down the river wye and it's a lovely part of the country.

Baz and I are going to find time to sit down and have a look at the calender, and talk to the pub landlord. However, my gut feeling would be that he won't be too keen on either of the may bank holidays, as the are probably pretty busy then - but we will ask the question. Obviously, there are two bank holidays in May, which we will have consider.

The good thing is that, aside from the arranging the dates, there is very little organising to do as everything is there, and Baz and I already know a lot of the senic routes and things to do in the area. One possible activity would a trip down the Big Pit, which is quite impressive (former coal mine), and I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the Senic run.

When I was refering to the great unwashed, I was thinking of you mainly Col!

My big day is in the middle of the month and if we do a honeymoon that might rule me out from this rather good sounding meet :(

We'll be there. We only live in Cwmbran so it's just down the road, although early May is probably better for us. Hopefully the van will be there too depending on how much 'metal' I have to remove over the winter.

Cheers

I know it's along way off, but did you two come up with any dates? Other people at my work have started booking time off for next year, and as it's done on a first come, first served basis, i wanted make sure i got my holiday request in early.
And i'm sure if Adam has enough time, he can convince his good wife to be that the "honeymoon in a Commer in a muddy field" is the only way to go:D.

Andy is abroad at the moment. By that I mean he's in a foreign country, he hasn't had a sex change!
It's looking like early May, possibly weekend of the 7th. We'll firm it up when he gets back.

It took a while but well done Colin!

Andy and I have whittled it down to two possible weekends. Waiting to hear back from the venue before we settle on one. As soon as we have a firm date we'll let you guys know.

OK. We have a date!

The weekend of the 7th and 8th May 2011 has been booked. The future King has pinched the other weekend we were thinking of for his wedding!

I now need to start gathering numbers for the camping.

There are plenty of electrical hook-ups available. Camping prices etc can be found on the Rising sun's website here: http://www.therisingsunpandy.com/index.html

So let's start getting some definites so we can build up a list of attendees. Plenty of notice so cost will hopefully not be a problem.
