Anyone fancy a Welsh Commer Weekend?

Had the same problem with Barbara, albeit last week - and the same kind man helped me out.

Just about to leave, should be there by 4. Already had a fuel starvation issue when starting hot and had left heat to soak for 10 minutes, but fortunately some more fuel eventually got through to the engine and was able to continue.

Fingers crossed.

First breakdown. Stopped at Oxford caravan centre to get a hook up cable, only stopped for a few minutes, and as soon as I got back on the main road, I get fuel heat lock. Guess I am here for a while till she cools down.

Ona separate note, Baz hasaskme to remind you to stop at the pub first on Arrival and pay for your plot before proceeding to the campsite. There is a car park in front ofthepub where you can park to do this.

Oh the indignity of it! After close to 1,000 miles we are on the way to Wales. Currently waiting for the AA. Bad misfire on hills, then farts and dies. Two coils tried, both get very hot! See you there on the back of a truck.

and you even had spares how frustrating; don't worry you won't be the first to turn up limping or towed; plenty of knowledge to help you out too; maybe the very nice man will get you moving, its not always a recovery job and they do like roadside fixes

Well, I got within 6.6 miles of pandy, and my big end went. Fortunately Telford bob and I had bumped into eachother, and he was following me. Had no phone coverage where Babs expired. Good old Baz towed me in, and will be calling AA on Monday to relay me home.

It's a bit quiet on here tonight.... where is everybody that hasn't gone to Wales got to?

I might have to sleep in Brian on the drive - just to get in the spirit of Commer weekend:D

Hola, we got there in the end.....twas a Dodgy rotor ARM in the end. We left Wales this morning as the rest were on their way to a coal mine. After 17 days on the road, we wanted to get home. It was great to meet every one, and look forward to more meet ups!

Just got back from wales, great weekend, got there and back in one piece apart from wire off overdrive snapped off on way there, i think i need new brake shoes now, if you were there you know why ,lol. Hope every body gets home safe, see you all again soon.

And one more from today on the way to Big Pit - Rosie, Gladys and Harvey for once not struggling to keep up with Baz on the hilly bits.

Well just signed in. Been back in Grimsby for 4 hours now. Took just over 5 hours to get back with a couple of stops on the way. Took James and ronald (my twins) to the station heading to Brum where Ronald lives prior to James going to Australia to live. Got loads of pic's but am not download piccy literate, so will need some help. Colin KKK went to Wales and back with only brake lights missing on way back after ?faulty switch discovered whilst travelling aroung the Brecons. I would like to say many thanks to Bazz and Andy for organising a fantastic meet. That's all for now folks- going to get ready for bed as back to work in the morning. Night night to all from Grimsby[|)][|)];):D

Got home safe and sound, Van didn't miss a beat however my beloved Chelsea got beat:( Thanks Baz and Andy for the weekend, it was really great to see everyone again, can't wait for the next one[8D]

We got home about 9pm, had to help Baz get his van going, after it lost a cylinder on the way to the big pit. Looks like it may be the head gasket[B)]
Great weekend, very well organised, shame it looks like both Baz and Thowman are going home on recovery trucks[V]
Rosie ran beautiful, just one hickup on the way home, a bit dropped of one of the tyres [B)] Fortunately it stayed up while we drove a couple more miles to the next services on the M1 [:0]
