Anybody been out in you're van's?

Hi all,
Any of you been anywhere nice in the van this weekend? The weather has been stunning hasn't it. I ventured out yesterday for about a 60 mile round trip which was lovely - Loads of different types of vehicles seen about on my travels, and always surprises me how many waves you get from different folk in REALLY different cars/vans/bikes etc.
We were going to go to Billing Aquadrome yesterday for the night but the weather report put me off today as heavy rain was predicted..........It still hasn't rained as yet in my part of the country and it's 8.30pm, although it looks like it's going to hammer it down soon. Typical though as we could have gone and been home and dry by now..Oh well, maybe next weekend? ;-)

Right, it's off for a cold beer and ready for " Britain has a distinct lack of talent " ( Just kidding - There has been a lot of decent acts this year ) I'm not big on the little box of radiation sitting in the corner of my living room normally but you can't beat a bit of trash TV now and again.

Hiya!

Just back from our week away in Smurf, the glorious weather here has found us pining to go away again lol, last night we even thought about sleeping in Smurf up our own driveway lol

Went to Lulworth Cove, Dorset for the day today, picnic, cricket etc!

Counted 10 waves in one 5 mile stretch of road!! all types of campers even vw's and Beetles and a couple of nods from bikers

Chance would be a fine thing:I
Does out in (and under) my van in the back of the garage count as opposed to in the house reading:)

Frodo is currently stipped to bare metal, and has been for the last two months, while I have been working out of the country for most of the time. Hopefully after this trip there will be nothing more for a while and we can get some work done, I still want to get him on the road before the end of the summer.

Only dreaming I am afraid :I I have enjoyed watching Tim porting, fetling & machining bits for sybhils head :Ddoes that count[?]

We had a trip out to Skipton on Sunday (nice fish and chips) and spent yesterday at a horse show (didn't think much of the auto jumble it was all horsey)

Wow, nice to see so many vans getting out and about. I need to step up my game and get out more. So far we have managed to get out in him on our own as the grandparents have always come through for us. As a kid i remember us playing up royaly at bedtime in the Commer so am a little wary about taking the dustbin lids ( Kids ) overnight. I know that we will do at some point but whilst we can get away on our own, we may aswell! Does that make us bad??? How is bedtime when you all take you're kids?

We use our PB as our daily runabout (not every day) and each time feels like an adventure. The children love it, however it is becoming a little uncool for our teenage daughter.......
She wants to arrive at her leavers do in the american......

We have a big tent to accomodate the little and big monsters, as we have no bunks in the smurf... would love another van to use instead of the tent. They all just seem to love the adventure!!!!

I want a new Awning for our van as ours looks very cool ( 7o's ) kitche, but it's showing signs of age. Anybody know where i can get a decent one from? Our back doors aren't usable due to our layout so has to be a side awning.
