Wow! thats bloomin cold.....my mate from work is Polish and he has gone home for Christmas , he said it is -25 at the moment[:0]

cazz is out for Christmas dinner and asked me to wait up:(

I got to work 2moz now:(

It is about -2 here and some parts have snow but not where we are:)

We were in Warsaw last week, but temperature was ok - until last Saturday when it turned freezing cold. There was snowfall overnight between Sunday and Monday, and pretty chaotic when we flew back on Monday. Landed in Oslo in a terrible snow storm (the airport is located some 40 mins north of the city, and more prone to snowfall).

But the temperatures must have dropped tramatically then, 'cos I don't think it was much below zero when we left Poland. Nor was it here actually, but yesterday it turned very cold. Good job we've got several sacks of firewood in the cellar :)

Ah, Ebba came to the rescue [^] (she's doing presents for her relatives in Sweden, so we're both night owls tonight)

It was on the news tonight that the weather was particularily cold right now. Some areas some 2 hours' drive from us had temperatures dropped below -40 ! How is that possible?? I'm just glad I'm not there, and thankful that these sort of temperatures could not happen here. Mind you, its really bad enough as it is.

I got up late last night & 5 mins late for work:(
I didn't make it to work thurs night it was freak weather wasn't so much the snow on the road but visability was down to 2-3 ft couldn't see if other cars were about blizzard worse than the fog!~I gave up when I started sliding down a hill I was trying to drive up!
I took a different root last night to try & get fuel on the main road,...garage was shut!came home the country roads this morning several cars dumped on the side of the road including a figaro from our road!
I think the funniest thing was a double bend on a hill some body didn't know the road very well,...there is a new road lay out which goes partially onto the field because some ones abandoned a bmw. I was scared stiff but turn out to be quite good fun :D[}:)]:D

Its all really strange. They even put fake snow down on the streets and snow around the shop windows, everyone just goes to the beach though...
