I know its a nice van, and it will be nicer, but it grates a bit when you buy something on trust from someone who seems respectable and it does`nt get you 5 or 6 miles down the road and then the seller tells me its my fault for driving it!!!!!

I know, silly me I should have known better, apparently I was buying it as an ornament not as a road going vehicle.
I wont say too much about the seller Chris, and I certainly wont name him publicly I will say though that he comes from a place called West Dean and you cant believe a word he says or rely on his selective pictures which failed to show damp in the gas cupboard area.
Car dealers have a bad reputation for telling porkies but believe me the selling public can be just as bad, if not worse, because you have no legal recourse against them. The seller of the Jennings has no consience about what he did and has said hard luck

Believe me, I wasn't so happy after I found out that after driving all the way from Lowestoft to Tring in my new purchase I discovered I had no brake fluid left in the resevoir thanks to a huge leak coming out of one of the front brake cylinders along with evidence that it the previous owner had been regularly topping up the fluid level (brake fluid and dispensing instrument behind the driver's seat). There was me thinking the pulling to the left under braking was just lack of use and lack of adjustment (they were also very badly adjusted). If I were selling a vehicle, I wouldn't cover up the extent of the brake problems to someone who was about to drive it 150 miles home.
I wanted the vehicle anyway, was happy to pay the asking price, and had I known I would have gone there to collect with my van and trailer. I won't be making this mistake again.

I must be the only car/camper dealer/seller with a consience, I could never knowingly send someone off in a vehicle with known or hidden faults, vehicles do go wrong especially when they have been laid up for any period of time but to send someone off in a vehicle with faulty brakes is nothing short of criminal and the consequenses of what could happen are unthinkable! Had a dealer sold a vehicle in that condition he or she would be liable to prosecution and rightly so, we can be prosecuted for offering a vehicle for sale, never mind actually selling it, with faulty tyres, brakes, steering etc but Joe Public can do as he or she pleases with no legal recourse.
I have just had to remove the wardrobe, inner panels and rear panel from the Jennings to reveal totally rotten timbers caused by a leaky gutter, the seller had tried to hide this by painting the inside of the wardrobe in fresh white emulsion which just mopped up the damp and showed through straight away, and guess which part of the camper was the only picture he did`nt send me? Its not a diffucult repair nor too costly but its very time consuming and something else I had`nt bargained on or budgeted for.

Coach painted......Hand painted with a 2in brush or done with a roller ( see Dormobile owners club! )
