It needs quite a lot of repairs but on the plus side
we found : the table & leg

fridge cooker
ladder
& still got its bits of wood that make the
bed base & no eviction needed the squirel
had left the building!

The peak is one of the better ones i have seen

Hey , since Chris tool the photos of the van and me yesterday i have got the cab covers in tarp ready to start welding iv put diesel in the boars because the engine wont turn over . App the inside have been scrubbed and cleaned same with some of the outside , all the seats have been scrubbed and iv fixed the broken fibreglass oj the roof so the rear is now all watertight and os ready to start work properly. Hopefully buying a mig welder in the next week and i will remove the windscreen and throw the rubber away because its perished to hell so i will order a new one next week. I have removed insides and put them away safe 
iv baby wiped the hole interior aha needs a new rear end such as the rear door and the bottom bumper and everything surrounding it. I went underneath aswell and the clutch plate moves and the chassis was galvanised years and years ago so no rott and no rust at all i will get the body work done and cab ready to paint before Christmas next on the agenda is the top floor skylight has rotted away will upload more photos soon

aha, i dont know what thickness of steel i need for the front of the van , does anyone know ?
Today the engine coughed into life for the first time for like 30 years and she sounds sweeet , loads of compression , all new plugs new points and condenser and new bit of wiring to make safe has a weber carb on it and apparently has had it since previous owner got it. Exhaust is rotten and is very loud but i have a new pipe to fit for a new side exit need to get a fuel filter for midway because i don't know the condition of the tank i think its rusted from the inside. Who ever makes them send them my way because i would love a new one!. Stopped the back out but still has all cabnets. Neews roof lining. Cutting out because needs some fibreglass work. All front if van needs welding work and i will borrow a mig welder as mines broken and start sorting the bodywork soon
thing i would like to know if anyone does:
front light bulbs? What size?
indicator bulbs what size?
do you need a skylight in top bunk sleeper bit? Or is it dangerous?
is it better to run a k&N filter?
are lowering blocks safe?
wiper blade size?
and is it worth converting it to unleaded?

Lights if original are sealed units (and crap) so cant put bulbs in...the same as mini ones. I got new mini ones for cheap and you can add whatever quality of bulbs you like...i went mid price and the change is amazing...can see where you're going at night! Best of luck with the van will be lovely

Friends and family said its a challenge but I'm just throwing all my time at her because I'm determined to get her ready for commer fest next year she now how a name too , she's named after my dads friends morher (the previous owners mother) she owned the van from nearly new and it was hers. ILene Barbra or barbs for short aha vans got so many memories and so much history behind it and it would be a shame to throw her at the scrap man! She will be turning in her grave if she could see it now :/
