I thought I would have a quick look while I was waiting for the aqua steel to dry. Took the drum off and both cylinders were leaking and the new shoes were soaking wet
I am struggling to find the time or energy to get on with Ed [V] I have put the passenger side front wing back on, took the drivers side off and done loads more welding on the drivers side inner wing, ready to put the wing back on when we get better weather, then I need to work backwards with the welding torch. It may be ready for Valentines day Next Year [:0][B)]
There is a lot more welding then I wanted and I have also run out of Acetylene Gas so now I am going to have to start using the Mig which I not to clever with so if anybody got some Acetylene laying about that I could purchase it would be much appreciated
Well it has been a while since I had time to work on ED.
I had a few days holiday over Easter so I finished of the front inner wing, refit the wing turned him round and started on the back.[^]
As you can see a little more rust.So I purchased a universal wheel arch from a local panel shop
A lot of welding and a little bit filler then primer and he is like new
All the welding finished now [^][^]Even spent a little time putting the central locking and electric windows in one of the front doors
All I need now it a couple of spare days and I can spray him
Spent a few hours this afternoon getting ready for the big respray this weekend
Every thing is primered now apart from the Bonnet first job in the morning, then will spend the day flattening the primer down then top coat on Sunday
Even Heidi got her work cloths on and started on the wheels
[!]Had a few mishaps while spraying this weekend, I treated myself to an air feed mask which runs off the compressor. I thought I'd better use a low pressure spray gun so as not to use a lot of air as the mask uses quite a lot. The gun was rubbish and after I painted the bonnet and a couple of doors I give up as they looked like I had used hammerite on them.[V]
I got my old gun out and started again. This time much better although I did run out of paint.
