I like the patented locking method for the drawers, in the same pic :I

It looks very nice:p but it seems to be a combination of different conversions, the roof is Haylet Olympian, the windows look like very early Autosleeper ( like Sunbeam Sams) the dash is Autosleeper and some of the fitments are Autosleeper-like but swapped around and the end cupboard looks like it's been turned upside down. That's one big wardrobe as well, maybe a toilet compartment:I
All that said it looks a great van that has evolved to someones personal requirements[8D]
I guess I should have read the description before I wrote that:I

Nice collection of vehicles, including Austin A35. Second Commer looks like a Wanderer.

Two Commers :p - do we know either of these vans from the forum ???[:0] First impressions from the photos, it does seem a particularly nice example and tax free too !

The Hunter looks like the Humber Sceptre version to my eye, I rather like the higher spec trim and twin headlight finish on these [8D]

I'm more interested in the size of those garage doors! Wonder what lurks within?

Spare a Commer Guv?
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

This is what i love about Commer ownership. Look at the interest already, you wouldn't get this with a Vee Dubya;) and only ever 1 or 2 on ebay at any one time. Typed in VW Campervan and 483 are currently for sale, typed in Commer Campervan and..........1 ;)[^]:D love it.

I know, I know... but I just don't like things going the way of the V-dub. I.E. People paying well over the odds for vans that just ain't that good... (Not saying the above van is bad...)

I don't think it's just Commers, a lot of classics seem to be on the up. Hopefully it's because people see their worth and not just speculating:I

what's the point in having savings in the current climate - I think a lot of people are looking to something they can enjoy and might actually increase in value over the next 5 years :)

Market dynamics innit!

VW's got waaaaay to expensive, demand was high and Commers were cheap as chips. Now everyone is having a bit of a reality check, VW prices will come down a bit and Commer prices will go up. VW's still have "cool" cachet (fact, not my opinion!)and therefore their value will continue to be greater. But many people are discovering that there are other campervans, and are exploring the possibilities. Eventually, it will smoooth out a bit more than it has, but values of all non VW classics will increase a bit more.

The BBC put out a report a week or two ago, stating Classic cars are on the up, as investors see them as a better bet than other investments :)
