For all of you who have been waiting with bated breath- YES, I did buy the commer ambulance on e-bay.
For anyone who didn't see it, here is a photo.

I will post some new pics when I unload it from the trailer.

By the way, I am going to try some of the panels from Woolfy to see how they fit. I am also going to lend him some of my new panels to copy, so hopefully we should get some good replacements. I will update you when I know more.
 
hi there mart its woolfy here nice to see your going to take the plunge and try out my new panels ,i was begining to get worried as to whether or not i was going to get any customers,and if i had made the right decision to make these panels ,im sure you wont be dissapointed with them.oh and dont worry because your the first customer i will sort you out some discount,.on another note though ,i think it would be in your interest to get the ambulance fixed up first before any of the other wagons ,as you will probably need it to take you to the hospital after you misses finds out youve bought another one. haha.
by the way i placed a message on here the other day in the shows section about organizing a meet up with others ,and after i entered it ,it came up with not moderated,i was only trying to start a new profile what does this mean ,because no one has read it yet bacause it hasnt registered as new post
 
Fair play, Martin! how many vans is that then?! you must have a tolerant partner! i can't help being reminded of Fred Dibnah when, aswell as rebuilding his steam engine, he decided to build a mine in his backgarden... did the van arrive under cover of darkness??
 
Yes it did arrive under cover of darkness and that makes six! The wife said 'definitely no more' and I had to aggree to fence them in?

Would love to see them all lined up in their "pen" soon!

I'll call about the trailer over the weekend; I was going to see whether a swap with the pickup may have been an option but as the collection shows no sign of shrinking....

Woolfy.. if martin isnt interested in a pick up I would like to hear some more info :)
 
It's over 6 years since I last posted about this one. Following my clearout, I could finally get some better pics. Still awaiting resto, but will be done one day :)
